" He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas, he thought... doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps... means a little bit more!"
- Dr. Seuss
It's a close race, but I'm pretty sure How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my favorite Christmas book. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors to start, and there's just something about the Grinch - he's such a dynamic character. The way he grows and changes and learns to love Christmas just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And don't even get me started on the movie - with those precious little Who's singing even when all their presents are stolen???
So when we adopted the new-to-us tradition of advent books, I knew the Grinch had to be included. Here's how it works: prior to December 1st you wrap up 25 Christmas books individually. You can also just do 24, and not open one on Christmas day. Then each night of December you unwrap one to read. It's such fun!
On the night we read the Grinch I made a special snack mix to go with the story, and it's super simple! Here's what you need:
Grinchmas Snack Mix
Popcorn
Golden Crisp® cereal
Multicolored mini marshmallows
Flips Chocolate pretzels
M&Ms
First mix together the Golden Crisp® cereal and the popcorn to form your base.
Then take your marshmallow bag and mix in only the green ones.
Next you're going to take your chocolate Flips and cut them in half to resemble the antler that the Grinch puts on his dog Max.
Last add a few green and red M&Ms to represent the Grinch and his heart.
Mix it all together and enjoy!
You can even win a $100,00 grand prize plus the chance to win prizes like SING© movie tickets, speakers, and more! Check it out HERE!!! Jacob LOVES both animals and music, so I know he is going to love SING©!
