Have you ever noticed that theme parks seem to be breeding grounds for toddler tantrums? Even one that claims to be the happiest place on Earth is not immune to this phenomenon. Perhaps it's the hot weather, or the over stimulation, or maybe simply being off schedule is enough to send most small children into a meltdown.

Easter 2016

March 29, 2016

Happy belated Easter friends! Coming back to reality after spring break has been super difficult, but luckily there is lots of leftover Easter candy which tastes great with my coffee and Allergy medicine!

Easter Egg-stravaganza {A year of creative play dates}

March 28, 2016

This post could easily be titled "The Easter play date that wasn't."

As a momma, and a blogger, and a full time teacher, I sometimes have to accept that it just isn't all going to get done. And since I can't drop the ball on my kid or my job, sometimes it's blogging here that has to take the hit.

The Pasta Slide {fine motor skills}

March 14, 2016

When it comes to fine motor skills, I think we can all agree that they are important. 10 on the 10th : 21 Months

March 10, 2016

3 months and counting until your second birthday... where has the time gone??

Sorting & Snacking {jelly beans}

March 9, 2016

I have a confession to make. As a kindergarten teacher, it's really hard for me to come home and make the mental switch from teaching 5-6 years olds, to teaching a toddler. For this reason, weeknights are spent focusing on learning through play without pushing any structured activities. We play with which ever toys Jacob picks out, and if he picks out books then we read them. Jacob leads 100% and that works best for me.

Bunny Munch

March 5, 2016

Have you all seen the Easter aisles at Target? If you haven't, good heavens, get yourself over there. Aisle after aisle over flowing with the cutest bunnies, chicks, and eggs you've ever seen. We happened to be perusing the aisles before dinner this weekend, looking for an egg hunt basket, when someone decided he wanted a snack.

Lucky Little Leprechauns {a year of creative play dates}

March 3, 2016

Oh friends, how is it March already? Spring break is coming and this Momma can't wait! In the meantime, I'm dreaming up all things green and gold.  I recently put together a sweet little playdate that will be perfect for all your little leprechauns.
