Now that the school year has started I thought it would be fun to share what is in my teacher bag in case you need inspiration for packing your own! Teachers are always on the go, so keeping my bag stocked is super important!

Here's what's inside!

1. My Planner - I would be so lost without my planner! I write down meetings, due dates, birthdays, everything in here to keep it all straight!

2. Pens and Sticky Notes - All of which are used to fill in my planner, and to grade papers.

3. Brush and hair ties - I very rarely make it all the way through the day with my hair down. It's almost always thrown up into a ponytail or a bun by the end of the day.

3. Sunglasses - It's super bright when you go to recess at noon in Florida. Sunglasses help me keep a better eye on the kids without squinting into the sun.

4. Phone - I never go anywhere without my phone!

5. Gum - Just in case I need fresh breath for a meeting or conference, or if I'm hungry after school gum helps curb my appetite

6. Lipgloss - I don't wear much makeup for teaching (and if I did it would be melted off by the time recess is over) but dabbing on a little lipstick makes me feel pulled together and professional.

7. LALA® Yogurt Smoothies and Cashew packets - this is my go-to grab and go breakfast. Morning's can be so hectic, but LALA® Yogurt Smoothies can be drank in the car, or at work while I'm getting ready for the day. Add in some nuts for a protein boost and it's the perfect breakfast for those busy mornings when you are rushing out the door to get to work on time.  LALA® Yogurt Smoothies are also a great pick me up in the afternoon, when you want something cool after sweating to death out at car pick up! LALA® Yogurt Smoothies are made with real fruit and contain 5 grams of protein, so you know you are making a good choice!

My morning routine generally looks like this:

5:45 am - alarm goes off
6:00 am - shower and get dressed
6:30 am - hair and makeup
7:00 am - toss my LALA® Yogurt Smoothie, cashews, and planner into my work bag and head out the door

7:15 am - arrive at work, drink my LALA® Yogurt Smoothies and eat my cashews, while go over lesson plans and set up for the day. I also like to drink it as a snack later in the day!

By the time my students arrive at 7:45 I'm energized and ready for whatever the day brings us!

LALA® Yogurt Smoothies can be found at Walmart in the Yogurt section and right now you can earn cash back when you shop with Ibotta

  1. Great tips! As a mom, I keep all those things in my day to day bag as well!! (sticky notes to cover the sensor on auto-flush toilets since my 4 year old is suddenly afraid of them lol)#client
