Our little family is on the move again. Our summer travels are taking us to Atlantic City today, which means we are leaving behind Michigan and our family there. It's always hard to say goodbye, but thankfully we have so many wonderful memories from our weeks here.

Jacob only gets to see his grandparents about every three months so the time he spends with them is really precious. We try to cram in as much fun as we can working around work schedules and other commitments.

One thing that Jacob loves to do with his grandparents is bake up yummy treats in the kitchen. Baking is the perfect activity to span generations because who doesn’t love tasting the sweet efforts of an afternoon in the kitchen?

Nestle Tollhouse just came out with a new line of Baking mixes at Meijer, which made this recipe even simpler – perfect for a toddler to help out with. We purchased all four mixes and decided to test out the NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Brownies & More Baking Mix with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels first!

Jacob and his grandma baked up some s’mores brownies which are just perfect for summer. Jacob is a big fan of s’more and marshmallows in general so we knew these would be a hit!

S’more Brownies
1 pan of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Brownies & More Baking Mix with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
4 graham crackers
2 cups marshmallows
To start, they mixed up the Nestle tollhouse brownies mix as directed on the package.

When it was time to add the chocolate chips we saved about 1/3 of them for the topping we would add later.

Once it was all mixed up, they poured it into the pan and baked as directed.

While it baked Jacob learned how to crush the graham crackers into crumbs using a rolling pin for the first time. This is the perfect fun job for toddlers!

When the brownies were finished baking they sprinkled on top the rest of the chocolate chips, followed by the graham cracker crumbs and then the marshmallows. Then they put the pan back in the oven and set the oven to broil.

Keeping the oven door open (and Jacob’s little hands out of the way) they watched as the heat broiled the marshmallows turning them a beautiful golden  brown.

You’ll want to watch them carefully the whole time and take them out before they get too brown or burn.

Once they had cooled Jacob and grandma had to try them out of course, and they loved them! They let me try some too and I must admit they are delicious!

Jacob had so much fun baking with his grandma and while he may not be quite old enough to remember it too well, I look forward to being able to show him pictures of all the fun he had with his grandma.

Nestle’s baking line also includes Brownies & More with Butterfingers, Cookies & More with Butterfingers, and Cookies & More with chocolate morsels.

All four baking mixes are free of artificial colors and flavors, and are super versatile. An entire cup of morsels or chips ensures that your dessert comes out rich and decadent. Adding in your own toppings allows you to really make it your own, like these special s'mores brownies Jacob made with grandma.

How do your kids make special memories with their grandparents? I'd love to hear your ideas, leave me a comment below!
