Jacob's Jersey Layover | Tuesdays with Jacob

Jacob's Jersey Layover

July 27, 2016

Jersey was the final stop in our grand summer tour, which you can read more about HERE. It was a quick trip, but we were able to see quite a bit of family and squeeze in some fun too!

The plane ride over from Detroit to Atlantic City is only about 90 minutes, and we timed it right around naptime. Surely he'd sleep the whole time and we'd be golden right? ALMOST. Two minutes into landing Jacob woke up and decided he no longer wanted to be restrained in his car seat on an airplane. He screamed, and I mean SCREAMED for the entire landing. I'm not actually sure if the people sitting around us have any hearing left. As soon as we touched down he stopped crying, loudly proclaimed "All done!" and proceeded to act like nothing had happened. At least everyone laughed? That means they aren't mad about it right? Right?

We spent most of our time seeing family that only get to see us once a year. Jacob met his cousin Nicolana for the first time, and got to spend time with his Nonna, aunts, uncles, and great Nanny.

One of the days we were there we went over to Ocean City to ride the rides and get some ice cream and popcorn. Jacob loves all the rides at Gillian's Wonderland, and is pretty fearless these days!

We ate dinner by the bay one night at Wonder Bar and watched the sun go down, then got some ice cream after.

It was a quick trip, but we had such a nice time!

Thankfully the trip home was without incident!
