This past Friday, September 9th was National Teddy Bear Day. I heard through the grapevine that Build a Bear was offering bears for $5 so I thought it would be the perfect time to take Jacob and build his first bear.

Jacob's Nonna came over from Sicily when she was just a little girl. She brought with her some of the most mouthwatering Italian recipes you've ever tasted, passed down from her mother. She's shared some with us over the years and with her blessing I'm going to share with you one of Jacob's favorites today - Nonna's meatballs. 

The Swimming Saga

One of our summer goals was to start Jacob in swimming lessons. It never happened over the summer because we weren't in one place long enough to enroll, but now that school has started back up we've settled into a steady routine.
